Brianna Garrold is a Board Certified and Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist, as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Brianna’s person-centered and strength-based approach to treatment provides space for collaboration to meet each client’s individual needs. Using a unique blend of art therapy and counseling, Brianna incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy with mindfulness and studio-based approaches to encourage art-making to increase effective daily coping, build strong personal resilience, aid in the expression of difficult emotions, and better manage anxiety and trauma symptoms. Brianna works with clients of all ages and backgrounds, with special interests in helping children, adolescents, and the military community. She specializes in trauma, grief and loss, identity development, and emotion regulation/stress management skills. Brianna earned her Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from George Washington University. Her previous work experiences include working with the following organizations: The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, Arundel Lodge, Inc., and the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (RICA-Baltimore).
