Mike is a native Baltimorean and a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor collaborating under the supervision of Adam Iacarino. His practice focuses on anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, and self-esteem. Mike draws from a wide breadth of evidence-based cognitive-behavioral interventions combined with solution-focused approaches, drawing from mindfulness and other orientations when appropriate to help clients achieve their mental wellness goals. His work is always strengths-based and client-centered. Mike earned Bachelor degrees in Education and Music, a Master’s in School Counseling and a Master’s in Clinical Psychological Science all from the University of Maryland. He completed his counseling practicum and internships working with students in Prince George’s County Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools. Mike also served as an Accessibility & Disability Counselor at the University of Maryland for 3 years where he helped undergrad and graduate students with medical and psychological disabilities develop and implement accommodation plans as well as mediate concerns between students and professors. Mike also serves as a Professional School Counselor at Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac, MD meeting the academic, career/college, and social/emotional needs of his students.
