Sal Schittino earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology at Washington College and was employed at Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Hospital for 5 years. Sal provided mental health services on the acute dual diagnosis unit which consisted of patients suffering from a psychiatric disorder paired with a substance abuse. Upon leaving Sheppard, Sal did extensive traveling through Europe and Southeast Asia. After returning from his international travels, Sal earned a Master’s Degree from McDaniel College in Community Mental Health. He was then employed at Millersville Psychological Services under the supervision and guidance of Larry Iacarino, NCSP and Leslie Naimaster, LCPC, counseling children and teens with adjustment, spectrum and learning disorders. Currently, Sal is an individual and group psychotherapist at Community Mental Health Associates. Sal treats adolescents and young adults ranging from 10-25 years of age, and specializes in trauma and adjustment disorders. Sals’ therapeutic groups consist of social skills building, assertiveness training, and emotional regulation.
