Adam Iacarino, LCPC

Adam earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Stevenson University, was inducted into the Psychological Honor Society (Psi Chi), and holds a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from McDaniel College. After achieving National Counselor Certification (NCC) status, Adam is now a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LC#5778) in the state of Maryland and a Board Certified Supervisor with expertise in such areas as Depression, Anxiety, Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and Psychoeducational Testing for all ages. Adam founded Community Mental Health Associates in 2010 and provides regular consultation to various psychiatric hospitals as well as Anne Arundel County, Howard County and Baltimore County public and private schools.

Colleen Wilcox, LCPC

Colleen Wilcox is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LC#7834) and Board Certified Supervisor in the state of Maryland. She received her Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health from McDaniel College. Prior to joining Community Mental Health Associates, she worked as a therapist at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Health System and a College Counselor at The Maryland Institute College of Art. She has provided inpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, and enjoys working with clients throughout the lifespan. Colleen practices clinical work from an integrative framework grounded in psychodynamic, CBT, and interpersonal approaches. Her special interests include the treatment of Eating Disorders, LGBT issues, Identity Development and Positive Psychology.

Sal Schittino, LGPC

Sal Schittino earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology at Washington College and was employed at Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Hospital for 5 years. Sal provided mental health services on the acute dual diagnosis unit which consisted of patients suffering from a psychiatric disorder paired with a substance abuse. Upon leaving Sheppard, Sal did extensive traveling through Europe and Southeast Asia. After returning from his international travels, Sal earned a Master’s Degree from McDaniel College in Community Mental Health. He was then employed at Millersville Psychological Services under the supervision and guidance of Larry Iacarino, NCSP and Leslie Naimaster, LCPC, counseling children and teens with adjustment, spectrum and learning disorders. Currently, Sal is an individual and group psychotherapist at Community Mental Health Associates. Sal treats adolescents and young adults ranging from 10-25 years of age, and specializes in trauma and adjustment disorders. Sals’ therapeutic groups consist of social skills building, assertiveness training, and emotional regulation.

It is important to feel comfortable and establish a connection with your therapist before anything else. Group Therapy/Social Skills Class (CPT Code: 90853)
Group psychotherapy and social skills groups are one of the most common therapeutic modalities currently utilized to help individuals with social anxiety, performance anxiety, or spectrum disorders to further develop effective social interaction techniques. Counseling groups offer opportunities to observe, practice with, and receive feedback from peers while participating in enjoyable activities.
